A long history of quality and service

Our fruit and vegetables are fresh from our producers or local markets daily. Our meat comes from local suppliers who provide beautiful cuts with fantastic flavour. Our bread and cakes are locally baked daily with quality ingredients. And our household goods come from trusted brand names with a reputation for quality and value. We even have world champion bee-keeper Jim McNeil to supply local honey! Forest Farm Shop was originally established by a young John Fowler in the 1930s and was run by his family up until just recently. John is best known locally for his Bonzer potato business which, to this day, remains a key supplier. He built the reputation of the shop on top quality home- grown potatoes, cabbages, and rhubarb. The business was most recently run by John's son, David, and was, and still is, supplied potatoes grown by his other son Johnathan. The Shop was taken over 2 years ago by Steve Loveman whose family has been involved in the wholesale fruit and vegetable markets for over 50 years. Steve continues to develop the product line, aiming to provide his customers with a one-stop shop for all their weekly needs. Part of the local community We take a keen interest in the local community, too. We regularly host local Fire Brigade campaigns and try to advise our web viewers whenever we hear of local issues such as scams or burglaries.  We also support charities such as Cancer Research and local activities such as sports and schools. Get the most from our website We update the website almost every Friday. We will include anything that has happened in the shop on the News Page and we will list new products and special offers for the week on the relevant Products Page.
